Our Backstory
Village Handcrafted Cabinetry started in 1999 with one craftsman, Joe Trave, who had a passion for woodworking. Initially working out of a small woodshop in his backyard, Joe crafted small pieces of furniture for clients. As demand for his work grew, so did the size of his projects, eventually necessitating a move to a larger space.
In 2002, Joe purchased a cabinet shop in Quakertown, which served as the company’s new home. However, the continued success and expansion of the business soon required yet another move. The operation was relocated to Lansdale, where it resides today.
Joe Trave, now the CEO, founded Village Handcrafted Cabinetry with a singular vision: to create cabinetry that stands the test of time. What began with one dedicated craftsman has evolved into a team of highly skilled artisans, all committed to maintaining our tradition of excellence. Despite our growth, our dedication to unparalleled quality and meticulous attention to detail remains unchanged.

Our processes, from hand-fitting drawers and doors to hand-sanding each piece, might not be the fastest, but we believe it creates the best final product. We use carefully selected raw materials to create cabinetry that is not only beautiful but also durable.

Located in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, our 55,000 square foot workshop is a dream space for our craftspeople. With dedicated benches, proper dust collection, lighting, ample space, and modern equipment, our team can focus on their craft. Our facility includes well-ventilated spray booths, oven cured drying and a climate-controlled staging area, ensuring the highest quality at every stage of production.
